Faith in Democracy: Framing a Politics of Deep Diversity
Jonathan Chaplin
SCM Press, 2021, 236 pp., pbk

Jonathan Chaplin is known to Crucible readers for his contributions to this journal, including an article in our Democracy issue back in 2016, when he wrote about citizenship and the purpose of Christian participation in a democratic system. Now he has extended this theme into a full and finely constructed book on Faith in Democracy, which strengthens his position as one of our major thinkers in political theology. He continues this work as an Associate Fellow at Theos (the UK’s leading religion and society think tank), and as a member of the Cambridge Divinity Faculty.
