Theological Reflection: Methods

The production of a second edition of Theological Reflection: Methods raises the question of how far the teaching and practice of theological reflection has developed, or not, in the past fourteen years. The revised Introduction to this work suggests that despite the proliferation of theory on the subject and its being increasingly embedded in theological education, the danger of shallow and ill-informed practice remains a persistent issue. (1-2) The main purpose of this second edition and its most salutary aspect is not, however, to labour this point, but rather to bring its material up to date with recent developments in theology, society and culture, so that it remains a practical and relevant resource for students, teachers and practitioners in theology, ministry and mission.
