Christian Theology in the Midst of COVID-19
This issue of Crucible presents six articles arising from one of the earliest theological responses in the UK to the COVID-19 pandemic. In mid-March 2020, as the UK went into lockdown in response to the pandemic, I wondered aloud on Facebook what the calling of theologians was at such a time. My question provoked a livelier response than anything else I have posted on social media, and from this emerged the online conference Christian Theology in the Midst of COVID-19. The conference took place in June 2020, with 20 paper presentations and around 120 participants from diverse church and academic contexts around the world.
