Sabbath Rest as Vocation; Aging Toward Death
Autumn Alcott Ridenour
T&T Clark, 2018, x + 261pp., hbk
Given that Christian theology and belief stem from a narrative of death and resurrection, the focus on a Christological theology of life and resurrection often forsakes a theology of death. Ridenour seeks to address this imbalance by formulating a theology of aging and death utilising Augustine and Barth to construct the meaning of Sabbath rest and participation therein as the process of aging and death.
