Editorial: Health and Human Flourishing
I am very grateful for the opportunity to edit this Health and Human Flourishing issue of Crucible, and I am indebted to the four authors who found time to write about health from their own unique perspectives.
From an ethical point of view, health is a topic which is almost limitless in its scope, especially from a faith perspective. In this field there has often been an obsession with definitions and boundaries. Indeed, in going through the archives of the charity I run, it’s clear that each generation of Christians have asked, ‘What is Health?’, ‘What is Healing?’ and ‘How and why does God act when we pray?’. Such questions are vital, but not the focus here.
