Undoing Theology: Life Stories from Non-Normative Christians
Chris Greenough
SCM Press, 2018, ix + 219 pp., hbk, £65

Undoing Theology takes its title from a dialogue with Judith Butler’s Undoing Gender in which she calls for the undoing of gender that is necessary before we can do ourselves. This undoing is dependent upon connection with and vulnerability to the other. Chris Greenough takes this task of undoing into the theological realm as he seeks to bring sexual stories into dialogue with theologies in order than theology might be undone by the reality, intimacy, and potency of the sexual stories we can tell.
